Youth opportunities

17 Nov

Have you ever wanted to join something really bad, but you didn’t have the financial or transportation resources? Well I’m going to tell you about one of the great neighborhood youth opportunities in Seattle. Here in Seattle, just 12 blocks walking distance of my school, Washington Middle School, is Garfield Community Center. I go to G.C.C. or Garfield Community Center almost very day of the week. The G.C.C. is greatly know for its after-school programs and summer day-camp programs. G.C.C. is also a place for entertainment for you and your friends. At G.C.C., you can get on the computers without worrying about being cyber-bullied, because here at Garfield we have web filters to allow you to go on safe social websites. Also at G.C.C. their is a Teen Center, where teens like you and I can be ourselves and hang out with friends. Lastly, from time to time the Teens take trips to various places and have job opportunities by being in internship programs that pay reasonable amounts of money for just particpating. Alright, there you have it, a little history about one of the greatest youth opportunities in Seattle.

Oppression

17 Nov

In the world today do you think Americas’ society is oppressed or American citizens are filled with oppression? I can’t really say that I can relate but if so, let me know how you feel and comment if you want to express your feeling. However, in my honor you can plead the fifth.
